About Gary

Gary has, in recent seasons, become Eltham's "go to man" - though often, it has to be said, this is following the game in the bar. Since the uncanny likeness to Harbhajan Singh has been noticed, Gary has enjoyed hero worship on the pitch whenever he bowls his mix of off-breaks that look like leg-breaks. Despite Gary being a dependable player on the pitch, he really comes alive off it. Given the amount of commitments he has to watching other sporting events (and darts), it is amazing that he manages to squeeze in any Eltham matches at all (let alone deliver any letters in his day job). Gary is the embodiment of the Eltham spirit. As captain of the team he makes sure everybody gets a fair crack at being fully involved, including the barman.
