Match report Eltham CC Vs Bashley (Rydal) CC

The second tour match went the same was as the first, cancelled die to torrential rain. The day wasn't lost, however, thanks to Mr Mockridge at the Dorset Cricket centre, who offered us sole use of the Centre for a game of indoor cricket for three hours. He even entrusted the keys to Matt. Massive thanks to all at the DCC, who saved the day for us.

The evening consisted of a table for 25 at a local Chinese restaurant in Christchurch. Henry guaranteed that he would be receiving good service from the waitresses with his customary introduction of "Good Evening my dear...". You'd expect nothing less from the Club Chairman. On being described as the Club's "Big Cheese", skipper Matt Bulpitt then pointed to vice-captain Pete Swain and said "..and there's my mini-babybel", much to everyone's merriment. As you might expect, a lot of laughs were had at the meal.

So, still no real cricket played, but the forecast looked good for the following day, so everyone was hopeful (if a little drunk...) at the end of the day.
