Match Report

Match report Eltham CC Vs Belhus CC

An excellent Eltham win against a very friendly Belhus team on their fantastic main pitch. Star of the show was undoubtedly Bilal who returned figures of 6 for 27 from his 7 over allocation - all of them bowled. Bowling with real pace on an excellent wicket, Bilal effectively won the match for us as this wicket was very good for batting.

On the batting front Matt Bulpitt and Pete Swain clearly enjoyed playing on what we understand has been voted the 4th best wicket in Essex - the top three all being run by Essex CCC. Matt retired on 42 in order to give Charlie Boylan (making his debut) a go when the game was effectively won. With Swainy at the other end scoring an unbeaten 50 and wrapping up the batting award for the season in the process, all that remained was to partake of some refreshment and have a laugh with some of the oppo - always a great bunch to play.

Well played all this season - it's been a very enjoyable one.
