Match Report

Match report Eltham CC Vs Plumstead CC

For the 'eagled eyed' amongst you, the original opposition (London City) have cancelled (Tues) and a new team (Plumstead) have taken their place.

An enjoyable match against new opposition. Eltham suffered at the hands of some powerful hitting during the middle and end of the Plumstead innings. Any good fortune seemed to favour the Plumstead batsmen, and, with a couple of 'lives' granted by dropped catches and interesting umpiring decisions, the total could have been much lower. Pradeep, Tan and Pad bowled particularly well and both Scott and Elliot kept wicket tidily.

After a good tea from Pradeep, the valiant attempt to chase down the total was thwarted by the regular fall of wickets and no-one really getting a big score. Notable big hitting contributions from Asjad and Toby were not enough and we fell 35 runs short of the target.
