Match Report

Match report Eltham CC Vs Swanscombe CC

An enjoyable afternoon spent with our good friends from Swanscombe.

On a lightning fast outfield, on a hot sunny day, the Eltham faithful did well to restrict a strong Swanscombe line-up to 210-5. Tidy bowling from everyone was undone by the usual big-hitting Swanscombe batting, but at tea, we were quietly confident of chasing down the total.

Confident starts by several batsmen kept the required run rate under control, but as often is the case, the regular fall of wickets handed a relatively easy victory to Swanscombe.
